Here Here!

My wife & I have 3 children and our "first born" was of the four legged variety. There is NO WAY we'd let our Sophie's medical care lapse just to save money. She is family.

I don't know how those who can abandon a pet can sleep at night. But at our house we sleep just fine...even with a snoring bulldog at our feet.

I couldn't agree with you more. Makenzee was given to me almost 10 years ago now because the person that had him couldn't get him potty trained. He was a tiny little thing. He is my baby, and I would do anything to make sure that he is ok and well care for. I don't know how someone could just leave their pet behind. There are so many shelters out there that can offer them a good home until a more permanent home can be found.

I couldn't agree more, I feel the exact same way. My animals always come first and I would never let them do without, even if that means that I have to do without something that I want. My animals are my children and they deserve the best that I can provide. I have never understood how people could treat their pets so badly. I don't think they would treat their child that way so they shouldn't treat their animals that way either. I feel VERY strongly about this!! There are alot of people that should never be allowed to have animals...I wish there were some way to regulate this!

Yeah my old dog has cost me probably thousands of dollars but she adds so much to my life...She gets me to go for walks or even just calm down when I'm stressed out. I couldn't imagine abandoning her. People need to give getting a pet a little more thought before they commit to that relationship. Because with my Sadie dog, it's for better or for worse, even if she is cutting into my bottom line.
