		<description>That&#039;s a great way to pay yourself to exercise!  Last year I finally canceled my club membership as I wasn&#039;t working out at the gym on a regular basis.  The $30 was a waste of money.  If I ran 1 mile a day, that would be the equivalent of 1 months gym membership.  Interesting idea!</description>

		<description>What a great idea!  I have never thought of this!  I think I will have to do some thinking on this and figure out what I can do.  I did train for and run a marathon once.  Not sure if I will ever do it again, but what a cool plan!  :) Thanks for sharing!!</description>

		<description>You made a good point about- you can&#039;t make the incentive so unattainable that you give up midway, such as realizing that you won&#039;t make 50 miles for the $50.  I like the graduated system better, a buck a mile, so that you will always have the motivation to do just a little bit more.

A friend of mine and her BF have a pact where if he doesn&#039;t meet his workout goals, he has to buy her some lingerie, and if she doesn&#039;t meet her goals, she has to buy him a bottle of fancy wine (his hobby)... the &quot;penalties&quot; ultimately reward them both!</description>
