That goes for lovely candles too, and golden spoons and forks, and expensive soaps. And I use all of them. It is so funny that some people here in the Philippines keep their furniture wrapped in plastic. In plastic! Imagine how hot that is considering the Philippines’ tropical, humid weather. But that is what they are afraid of – for it to be come faded – and to look used. When they are meant to be used. It is both funny and sad at the same time. More power to your blog.

Clothes would be my issue. I get so caught up thinking about dry cleaning, maintenance and wearing them out that I don’t wear my favorite things. I have to get it through my head that overdressing is better than underdressing

Yes! Love this post – so true, we use some of our best items once every other year and instead should be appreciating them more. For those I can’t seem to dothis with, I end up selling them so hopefully others can use them…so I’m proud to say I don’t have any fancy things not being put to use and that is killer u use a fountain pen! Haha…you rock.
