She's leaning toward keeping her better paying job, but honestly, I think I'll always make the opposite decision. I would choose happiness over money. The way I see it, it's ALWAYS possible to spend more than you make, no matter how much you make. That means it's always possible to change your spending habits and adapt to lower pay, too. Life is too short to stay in a job that makes you unhappy. I agree with frugalopolis. Apply and see what they offer. But if they offer you a job that you think will make you happy for less pay, I'd go for it! I’ve been talking my best friend through a similar decision. But its secure. As for thinking about moving on, you really don't have a decision to make until you have an offer, so you might as well do the things you need to do to get the offer.
