I am exhausted, so this will be yet another mindless post.
I've been in training this week (and part of the past two weeks and part of next week too), but I'm also trying to keep up with the most crucial parts of my job.
Monday, I left for training at 7:00 am. I got out of training around 4:30 and headed to the office. I finally got home close to 9:00 pm. Yesterday, same morning schedule, though I managed to get out of the office "early" (around 6) and went to the gym. Unfortunately, I was so exhausted that my 3.5 mile run turned into a 2 mile run.
The thing is, I know that there are people who keep this sort of schedule all the time. I typically work 9-10 hour days, get in a workout, and still have some energy in the evenings by the time I get home. This week is just too much. But I know that there are people doing 80 hour work weeks. I have coworkers who regularly do 10 hour days and have long commutes tacked onto either end.
How in the world do you do it? Do you just get used to it? Because this is killing me. When I got to the office last night, the only thing anyone said to me was "Wow, you look tired." Hey, thanks.
