If we were to be honest, as driver, we would readily admit that we would probably sell our soul for a really expensive car. So next time you are looking to refinance your auto loan, you may even have a sneaky little look at just how much it would cost to own one of the world’s most high performance cars. Unfortunately, those types of vehicles really are out of the reach of everyday people. However, it never hurt anyone to dream, so if you want to allow yourself a little dream, feast your eyes on the three most exclusive vehicles in the world.
The Ferrari Enzo
This Ferrari model was actually name after the owner of the Ferrari company. There literally is nothing lacking on this vehicle, which is the height of style and fantastic performance. It packs some power under the bonnet. When it was first produced, the vehicle sold for $670,000 and there were only 399 in circulation. Since then, some of them have crashed (yes, there are people who have crashed their Ferrari…), and demand has skyrocketed. As a result, the vehicle has become even more valuable and it is now worth an estimated $1,000,000 (remember that is for a second hand vehicle!). Its V12 engine can reach some 217 mph thanks to its 5988cc capacity. You can imagine why crashes tend to be a total losss…
The Lamborghini Reventon
This is one of the newer models of expensive cars, developed in 2007 and presented to the public at the Frankfurt Auto Show. According to designers, the vehicle is developed based on the ‘fastest airplanes’ in the world. The exterior is incredibly stylish and it has mechanics and elements reminiscent of the Murcielago. However, no other Lamborghini has an engine as powerful as the Reventon. It is also incredibly valuable because there are only 20 models in existence, all of which were sold before they had even been manufactured. You can now only own a second hand one, therefore, and it doesn’t look as if the current owners are looking at selling. It does 0 to 60 in just 3.3 seconds, with a 211 mph top speed.
The Bugatti Veyron
The Beyron has to be the ultimate in luxury vehicles. It was created together with Volkswagen, which is not particularly a make famous for its luxurious car. Yet they did it, because the Veyron is the most expensive vehicle ever made. It was named after the French racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the 1939 Le Mans. The 8 liter W16 engine has two rows of eight cylinders each. The engine is gigantic and fed by four turbochargers. The torque has been measured at 1,250 N-m, making it the fastest accelerating on the planet as well. If you have $1,7 million lying around, you may just own this vehicle.
Most of these cars will be nothing but dreams to most of us. But if we can’t dream, we won’t have much to live for anymore either.
