Nowadays, it seems like everyone is looking for a side hustle, but does it sometimes feel like every side hustle requires you to be outgoing? Maybe you don't want to go out and sell items or work with people. And that's okay. Introverts have just as many options for side-hustles - they're just a little different. Here are five side hustles for creative introverts.
Blogging
Does your creativity lie in writing? Do you feel like you have something interesting to talk about? Consider starting up a blog or freelancing for a blog. Blogs are really easy to setup, and if you have a niche to talk about, you can bring in money with sponsored posts and advertising. If you write for someone else's blog, you can get paid per post. Writing is definitely a great job for introverts, and a great way to express your creativity and talk about something that you love.
Book Reviewing
If you enjoy writing and reading, consider becoming a book reviewer. There are a few sites where you can get paid to review books, including
Kirkus is even looking for reviewers of both English and Spanish books, so if you read Spanish, you might have an even better chance of being able to review books for pay. To practice your book reviews, you can write on your own blog or even start with Amazon reviews. You may find that by posting great reviews publicly, publishers reach out to you to review their books.
Social Media Management
Do you spend a lot of your introverted time on social media, reading Twitter or Instagram or watching TikTok videos? Consider becoming a social media manager for another person or a small business. You can manage their posts and comments, create a structure for their posting schedule, and with a few hours every week, manage an amazing social media presence for someone else. Though it seems incongruous, social media is a great side hustle for creative introverts.
Web Design
I don't know about you, but a great website will absolutely draw me in, but I have no idea how to create one. If you are a creative type, you can do web design for others. I've found great web designers just through Google searches, on Instagram, or even on Etsy. And if you can help with SEO optimization, you can absolutely bring in some extra cash with web design.
Graphic Design
Graphic design is a business that I don't think is ever going away. People are always looking for graphic designers for branding, clothing, prints, web pages, and more. This can be a great side hustle for creative introverts. I've seen a lot of people talking about using Canva to create some amazing graphic designs, even offering their creations as an instant download on Etsy.
Were I good with graphic design, I would absolutely consider a digital-only Etsy shop - you create your graphics and offer them for sale on Etsy. You don't have to do anything - just upload once and setup the Etsy shop, and when someone buys, they are given a link to download. You can create images to be printed to hung on the wall, graphics to be put on t-shirts, coloring pages, just about anything you can think of. This might be my favorite side hustle for creative introverts.
